How to create style item and variant attribute groups in PIM

The first step is to create the Variant Attribute Group.

The screen shots are a bit outdated in this document but the process is the same: Fusion PIM: How to Create and Edit an User Defined Attribute Group (Doc ID 1358936.1) - essentially an EFF that is tagged as Variant.

Then you assign the attribute group to the Item Class and desired page. After assigning to the Item Class you will need to deploy the flexfields through the FSM task "Deploy Item Extensible Flexfields" (the Profile code is EGO_ITEM_EFF).

Once this setup is completed and you are creating the Item, when you select the Item Class where the Variant Attribute is assigned you will see a "Style Item" checkbox appear.
